Inpa's aquatic mammal rehabilitation center currently has 73 animals. Of these, at least 15% will not meet the conditions for reintroduction. That is, at most they can be allocated to artificial lakes owned by local partner institutions and will need long-term attention. The remaining animals can and should be reintroduced into the wild.

This campaign aims to raise sufficient funds to reintroduce at least 10 manatees, suitable for release into the wild by August 2021, and to care for at least 10 other animals that are expected to remain in captivity. To meet the minimum expected financial demands of these goals, we need $2000 (USD) per animal.
